Dia De Los Muertos is being celebrated at Dempsey’s this weekend Friday, 10/23 and Saturday, 10/24.
One of our favorite menus (probably really our favorite) is a special menu we put together to celebrate the friends and family that have moved on from this earth. The Latino culture has taught us to celebrate and cherish the memories that we have of those loved ones. They believe their spirit comes back and shares a special evening with their families. At the restaurant we have our “Dempsey’s family alter”, which our staff, and clientele place photos of their loved ones. And since we have been open for close to 24 years we have had our share of Dempsey’s friends who have passed but will forever have a place at our table or at our bar , and we hope and pray that they come for a visit.
To honor these memories each year the kitchen crew at Dempsey’s comes together and works all week on the food, making everything from scratch for this very special menu. We hope you can join us and share in this tradition and savor the flavors of this unique menu….tamales, pozole, mole and much more.
