One of the best things about living in Sonoma County is our access to the freshest ingredients. Yesterday I spent the morning picking peaches from my tree and came in and made some very tasty peach pies with crumb topping and served with local clover ice cream.
We also just put on a perfect IPA for the summer Petaluma Gap IPA…Hoppy bodied IPA made with Mosiac, Centennial and Citra hops.
We spend our mornings shopping the multitude of farmers markets in the county looking for seasonal items to play with on our menu. This week we found romano beans, zucchini flowers, heirloom tomatoes and nectarines. Our favorite market is still at the Vet’s building in Santa Rosa. Ortiz family farms and The Patch are among our favorite farmers. Get out there and support the local farmers that grow in Sonoma County your will be happy that you did!
